when i said i loved i know that wasn't a lie

when i told you about having a baby that wasn't a lie
when i told you i thought i lost the baby that wasn't a lie

when you looked me in the eyes and talked to me that wasn't a lie
when you told your mom you wanted to live with me that wasn't a lie

when i told you i didn't say those things that wasn't a lie
when i told you i was yours that wasn't a lie

when you called me and said we would be together that wasn't a lie
when i told you not to play with my heart that wasn't a lie

when i told you i didn't like the drinking that wasn't a lie
when i told you to leave the baby out of it that wasn't a lie

if everything wasn't a lie then why am i to blame?
if everything wasn't a lie why am i the one in pain?
