Drawing Love

by RavishingEruption   Oct 28, 2008

Regrets and shortcomings
Are all in the past
A new BETTER future
Is now in my grasp

I'm pushing forward
And looking ahead
Knowing that life
Is a thin, fragile thread

Gasping for breath
In my changing world
A better tomorrow
Starting to unfurl

You're standing there
Waiting for me
I'm hoping and praying
This isn't a dream

You take my hand
And lead me home
After searching forever
I'm no longer alone

I want this to happen
I'll work for our cause
Watching the picture
Our love starts to draw

Our promises are pencils
Our love is the paint
For something this strong
There can be no restraint

We mount it and frame it
And put it in our hearts
So we're never without the other
Even when we're apart

But drawing love isn't easy
It takes a long time
But I think that our picture
Is drawn in this rhyme....
