The most painful death

by Anaisthitos   Oct 30, 2008

Love is like a car
Unable to be stopped
Inches from your face
About to collide with you
It's too late now
Try to dive out of the way
But it will likely get you anyways
You can't control it
Let it go
Close your eyes
Wait
There's nothing you can do
But pray you'll make it out alive

Love is like blood
Seeping out of your body
You try to keep ahold of it
You try to keep from making a mess
You don't want others to see your pain
As it slips away
Noticeably.
Wait
There is nothing you can do
But pray that nobody sees
But pray that nobody cares

Love is like a hand
Grasping at your throat
You can try to pry it away
You can try to fight it
But it will take you under
You will become dizzy
You will not be able to think straight
You will not be able to fight
And you will fall...
Faster, faster...
Wait
There is nothing you can do
But pray that for relief
But pray for a breath of air

Love is like a gun
Being pointed at your face
You close your eyes
You are powerless
You can not defeat such a powerful weapon alone.
You can not fight
You will not win.
Wait.
There is nothing you can do
But pray for an ounce of sympathy

Love is like death
There is no avoiding it
No stopping it
Not slowing it down
No fighting it
Go out with some dignity
Wait
There is nothing you can do.
Wait.
Make peace.
Wait
Fall
Die.
And pray there is an afterlife.
