I love the way you tell this tale, starting off with horrific realisation, knowing that a lifetime of grief and lonliess awaits.

You then briefly describe a beautiful relationship.

The majority of this poem is about how the grief of a lost lifemate consumes a person, ultimately driven him to contemplate suicide.

I guess there were any number of ways to approach this subject and this is certainly one of them, concentrating on his grief..so very sad.

Wow.. this is SO sad. it is filled with such pure emotion, its scary. it was beautiful though, in an incredibly sad way. i loved it. it brought a tear to my eye actually.
