I never really cared for love's sincerity
Enveloped entirely in youthful insanity
Restless mind couldn't see things in clarity

This is so true..young love that loves for the sake of love without fully knowning its truth. LIke they say love is blind..nicely done.

Love has a way of leaving marks regardless of wether we are "ready" or not. Your poem is a time tested and fact filled adventure into the feelings most of us have experienced at one time or another. Great write.

The last stanza was my favorite one.
I love the whole concept of being jaded because of knowing it all, done it all.
