Don't Mess With His Girl~Short Story~

by DeepLife   Nov 15, 2008

A lot of people have been gossiping about what happened to Patrick King on October 29th, 2007. Some people say he slipped and fell through the roof, others say his ex-girlfriend had finally got her revenge. All these stories are nothing compared to what really happened; I can ensure you that the real story is the hardest to believe.

Patrick King was a charming young man; he had soft brown eyes and a sweet smile that would hypnotize the girls at school. He liked to have his brown hair messy yet neat in his own way. He was tall, about "5'8", and he dressed professionally yet comfortable at the same time. He was basically every modern girls dream boy and can get anyone he wanted or so he thought...

It was Friday, Patrick walking down the hallway of his school, suddenly saw this girl pass by him. She was gorgeous, almost heavenly to him; the very whiff of her scent allured his attention toward her. He was so stunned by her flawless beauty that he thrived to know who she was, to him it was like love at first sight. So he decided to follow her, forgetting about his next class. As Patrick walked behind her, he scrutinized every detail of her angelic body. She had golden brown, wavy hair that lingered against her lower back. Her skin reminded him of the first fallen snow of a winters day back home. Patrick thought she was perfect.

Unexpectedly she stopped and turned her attention to Patrick, realizing that he was following her. Patrick froze dead in his track as he gazed upon her beautiful face up close. He was speechless at first but then stuttered "uh... hi". She greeted him with a dazzling smile. Patrick tried to think of something fast that can start a conversation. So he told her that he didn't know where his class was, even though he has been at this school since freshman year. Her hazel eyes stared intensively at him as if she knew she had been lied to, but she blew it off and introduced her self as Roxie and showed him where his class was.

After that day Patrick had became obsessed with Roxie. He'd follow her everywhere and was constantly trying to grab her attention even though he didn't have any luck doing so. Finally she told him to stop following her, which put him in shock because her eyes where so intense .However, she only meant it as a warning, but Patrick was too obsessed to pay any mind to it. Roxie had given him two more warnings and Patrick failed to take them seriously.

Now it was October 29th, and Patrick saw someone sitting next to Roxie in the morning at the cafeteria. It was a guy that was just as beautiful as Roxie, flawless and perfect. The guy wasn't only beautiful he was a lot bigger than Patrick. As Patrick was walking towards them, the guy with Roxie gave Patrick a disdaining glance with cold eyes. Patrick suddenly felt a flush of fear spilled upon him, each part of his body tensed up. Roxie stared up at Patrick and gave him a surprised look. With a valiant effort Patrick continued walking towards her. Patrick tried to convince himself that there was nothing to be frightened about yet in the back of his mind a voice shouted out that something was seriously wrong, which made his stomach cramp up.

Patrick finally arrived at the table where Roxie was sitting at, he looked at the guy for a moment and then turning his attention to Roxie he said "Good morning", also giving her a charming smile. Roxie said good morning back to him, trying to smile back too and then she introduced Patrick to Jayson. Jayson smiled at Patrick as he wrapped his arm around Roxies waist, as if he was giving him a hint the Roxie belongs to him. Roxie smiled at Jayson and moved closer to him, Patrick excused himself from the table stating that he needed to go to his locker.

Patrick felt idiotic as he walked to his next class. All morning Patrick avoided Roxie and Jayson, feeling vitiated and as if in the middle of a labyrinth. However, in the early afternoon Patrick came to a conclusion that he didn't care whether Jayson was with Roxie or not, he loved her regardless. Patrick decided that he's going to stay around her and just be "friendly".

It was time to go to lunch, Patrick decided to go and sit next to Roxie. Roxie was annoyed but she pitied him because of the event that happened in the morning. So she tried to be as nice as she possibly could to him. Patrick already started a conversation, so that made it a bit easier for Roxie, all she had to do was nod, smile, and reply a little bit until Jayson arrived. As Patrick talked to Roxie he hoped that Jayson wasn't going to show up. Nevertheless Jayson did show up and shattered Patricks hope. Jayson gazed at Roxie and she smiled so beautifully at Jayson that Patrick became quickly jealous of the fact that she had never given him such a smile to call his own. Patrick tried to gain back Roxies attention but she got up and walked toward the restroom.

At this point Patrick found himself alone with Jayson. Patrick was thinking of something to say but Jayson beat him to it. Jayson told Patrick, in a bold and cold tone, "You'd better not try to flirt with Roxie ever again; the next time you do, I won't hesitate to take you out. So be smart and take this warning or you'll highly regret it". Patrick sat there petrified for a minute, he was about to say something back but the air that surrounded him seemed to get colder by the second. When she arrived to the table she looked at Patrick only for moment before she examined Jayson warily and gave Jayson an accusing look but Jayson just smiled.

Patrick felt unexplainably protected now that Roxie has returned from the restroom. Patrick thought that she had some kind of control over Jayson; so he wouldn't be harmed by Jayson. Jayson stood up and said its time to get to their next class. Patrick looked up at Roxie and said, "You haven't eaten anything", Roxie smile and told him that she doesn't eat the food they serve at this school. Jayson glared at Patrick and turned to Roxie to take her hand; leaving for their next class. Patrick yelled out to Roxie, "See you after school!", then he smile and winked at her; forgetting the warning Jayson had given him.

When school was over Patrick went to go look for Roxie, but instead of find her he suddenly ran into Jayson. Patrick fell down hard on the floor hard and Yelled "What's your problem?!", then he realized that he had just yelled at Jayson. Patrick got up and looked at Jayson for a minute, noticing that his eyes were blood red. That familiar fear creped back upon Patrick; he shudder from that same cold air that surrounded him before. Patrick was just about to say sorry to Jayson when unexpectedly he was in the air.

Patrick shouted in pain as Jayson held him up from his neck and banged him against the wall. At first Patrick tried to fight against Jayson but he just tightens his grip around Patricks neck. Then Jayson showed his teeth; then Patrick noticed it...Jayson had two fangs that grow the more he raised his lips. Patrick was in shock and before he could even think Jayson leaned forward to his ear and whispered "I warned you I was going to take you out if you mess with Roxie again, she would have killed you herself but she felt bad for you and asked me to do it instead. However I was planning to kill you either way for messing with my girl in the first place." Jayson grabbed Patricks shoulder and turn his neck to the side, Patrick tried to move away but Jayson held him without any effort at all. Just before Jayson was about to sink his fangs into Patricks neck he said "I was going to make this painless but since you enjoy disregarding my warning, I won't bother..." Jayson bit Patricks neck hard, piercing his skin and making him shriek in agony. Then Jayson dragged him into a class room so people wouldn't see what's going on. After that he feed on Patricks sweet thick blood; Patrick couldn't believe that this was happening, he was being attacked by a real vampire.

When Jayson was done drinking his share of blood, he noticed Patrick had passed out from all the blood lost. He decides to do something awfully creative for the month of October; for Halloween. Jayson hurled Patricks body through the roof letting only from his waist down show while blood drips down his leg making a perfect circle of blood. Jayson was proud of himself know that Roxie would be too. Then when he was just about to walk out the door Jayson said, to the corpse in the roof, "No one messes with my girl", and left.
