I am afraid of love

I am afraid of love.
I had to watch my sisters be beaten at a young age.
I am afraid of love.

I push people away.
Only if they get to close.
I always do.

I'm pushing away,
The ones who know me best.
The ones that know ever thing about me.

I don't want them to get close to my heart.
I don't want to be hurt.
I don't want to get too close.

I am afraid of love.
My friends,
Be patient and understandng.

I'll get over this when I'm able.
