Pretty Words

by Sheep   Nov 19, 2008

Words are flung
so flimsily
they cover up
wounds you can't see

they take the place
of conversation
replace it with
harsh accusations

they twist your mind
and twist your fate
where friendship long
has turned to hate

but the words have been tossed
the tears have been cried
and it's all because
pretty boy lied.

Wow. I was pleasantly surprised by this poem. I thought it was well-written. Nicely done. 5/5
