These Chattering Bones

by Smilesunshine   Nov 26, 2008

Stars disappeared, the sunset, grass grew, minutes turned the clock into hours. As our bones chattered away. We talked and talked about everything, about nothing. As we filled the oceans with sailors, we never ran out of words to say. Angels danced around my head, filling my thoughts with hopes and dreams; everyone of them revolving around you. Fear began to grow, emotions arised. In fear, I ran away as far as I could go, climbed the highest mountain, and stood as close to heaven as i could ever be. My mind twirled, and my heart grew cold, as I held onto the chains of loneliness. I closed my eyes, only for a moment, and in an instant the answer showed itself to my open eyes. For right there in front of me, the Galaxy's spelled out your name. At that sight my heart grew slack, and I was disarmed, my grip was loosened, as I let go I fell back down to earth; there was no fear left in me. I found myself back in your embrace, I knew I never really left at all. Years from now our old tired bones will chatter on, and stories of our love will be told by the stars forever.
