Clouds to Concrete

by InvisiblyHeartless   Nov 28, 2008

Flying, soaring from the cloud
White and puffy, comfortable
I left my little perch by a jump
To fall straight into an angel
I swear, you were sent to me
Adrenaline pumps in my veins
The concrete comes closer,
Forming more than just a blob
I hope you're here to catch me
Or else I'm just going to splat
Fragile human skin meets pain
Blood spilt on pavement, rocky
It's alright, I'm still breathing
Are you watching this, angel?
You could've have stopped me
Caught my from the air
Saved yourself this little regret
And picked me out of this life
Instead, I know I'm gonna drop
You might even catch me
But later I'll just get thrown
The monster I was will eat your blood
Suck the happiness out of you
I'll feed on your weak life
The demon inside seeking an out
Angel, push him into the ground
Love me like the beauty of life
Never let me go, never let me drop
I'll just keep coming back for more
So save me while you can
Because, I'll pick at your bones
Until you can truthfully tell me
Those three little words, I need
