Stitched Up Smile.

by MikaMad15   Dec 1, 2008

There are cuts up the sides of her mouth.
Forming the smile she wished she had.
So the stitches hold it together.
Hold her together.
She stares into the mirror.
Into the eyes of the monster she has become.

For long hours,
She stares into the dark room
Within her heart.
That holds all the cold, black dread.
Cutting her flesh up,
as if it were only mere paper.
Blood drops fall.
But her smile remains.

Her eyes are blood-shot,
Wide and open.
From the insomnia she brings upon herself.
Floating and floating away into space.
Her fights against this world are torture.
And the thoughts inside her mind leak out.
Leak out poison.

Last stitches sewed in.
Her smile is forever sealed.
She will never have to look in pain.
But inside...
The internal bleeding never , ever ends.
