Snowflakes, 4am

by Unrequited   Dec 8, 2008

Crispily white when
they dance inside icy airs
seeping into earth

as street lamps
generate their glows,
a golden gift in shadows.

entwined and twirling
surrounding lives as they fall,
to burst upon a grace-like ground.

in sallowness
they dampen
once your eyes

reach into their spirit,
to hold us softly
as we forever sleep
