As I Watch the Sky

by Unrequited   Dec 8, 2008

I feel it all, bare and frosted
when chill-boned birds
streak away from whitened fields-
to an underworld
they noisily flow
from angry tundras
and to the sea.

for the sun is calling
to those that listen.
but we have no courage
like that of fowl,
so let's wait to begin
again, once
our spring appears.
