The Nation, and I

by whisperer   Dec 9, 2008

An entire nation tonight
Celebrates a country of future bright

Yet nothing compares.

Once, flowers fragrant were tossed around,
and it was your sweet scent that threw me further into that bound.

Yet nothing compares.

Once. fire works lit up in the sky,
and it was your radiant face the wind called out in its cry.

Yet nothing compares.

An entire nation was celebrating in awe
and I was reminiscing in flaw:
'the brown in your eyes'
all but a seeming disguise.

Yet nothing compared. But for now, in this moment
I am the nation in sight
celebrating a complete you until my dying fight.
