I like the seperate stanzas here, it allows the reader to digest the information easier.

The poem is another sad one, one that reaches out. Here the poor girl who is repeatedly raped finds her only solace and confidence in a dog. In some ways the cruelest thing that happened to that poor girl was not the rape, rather it was taking the only form of comfort away, her loving pet dog.
