The Wall Is Broken

by МÅťťђĕш Яĕĩŋĕßĕřg   Jun 9, 2004

The gloom of darkness is gone,
It has lifted from the land,
Rejoicing, the denizens celebrate,
Dancing hand in hand.
The clouds of darkness have parted,
Glorious light streams down,
A halo forms around the sun,
Its aura and its crown.
For the barrier is destroyed,
Now it lets in light,
They are liberated from isolation,
The land is green and bright.

The great wall now has crumbled,
The captives are set free,
All the joy of life abounds,
It happens inside of me.
For now I can be happy,
My walls are taken down,
Set free are all my feelings,
A new love can abound.
I kept it locked away within,
I kept it inside me,
But now my wall has broken down,
And now it is set free.

I was but an empty shell,
Emotionless and cold,
I thought without feeling joy,
I could evade sadness's hold.
But now the wall has fallen,
Open now I am,
The water of feelings are pouring,
Through the broken dam.
I can speak of how I feel,
I could shout it 'cross the sea.
No wall can contain my cares,
My soul is now set free.

    Thank you for your talent.
I second what Danielle said, how did this get such a low rating? Some people just can't appreciate art.
