How long do I have to feel lonely?
Tell me where I can find my one and only...
I'm tired of searching and finding nothing
Don't I deserve a little something?
Been hurt in the past...
And so scared to feel the pain again...
I know the ache will last longer the next time...
So afraid to open up and really allow someone in
Cause I can't get past the first hurt
The one person who gave it to me can take it away
After all these years no man compares to him
Something I really shouldn't do is compare
How can I not when I know I still care?
He was my everything, until taken by fate
I know he's gone and its too late...
