Complete

by Ahmed Ali   Dec 24, 2008

If i was a bird i wouldn't be able to fly.
if i was a fish i wouldn't be able to swim.
because my wings are clipped, because my fins are dulled,
my life as either are brutally dim.

if i was a pen i wouldn't be able to write.
if i was a book i wouldn't have words.
because my ink is dry, because my pages are blank,
these are no better than the life of a fish or a birds.

if i was a car i wouldn't be able to run.
if i was a ship i wouldn't be able to float.
because i have no wheels, because i have a gaping hole,
it really makes no difference that i'm a auto or a boat.

everything is the same, completely broken and incomplete.
it's not a riddle that's trying to put you on the edge of your seat.
it's as clear as crystal and as clear as a summers day.
living a life without you is something that i could not bear to weigh.
