A Pounding Heart...

by Jordan W   Jan 10, 2009

Tears building,
Heart pounding
Pulse racing with fire
The need to be with you is burning my soul
The need to hold you tight has me wrapped in agony
The need to feel your lips on mine is driving me mad
This poem I write now from the depths of my soul
This portion of my soul I do show to you...
Red with the inferno raging within
My soul calls out into the night
My heart is blind now as it reaches into the dark

I have a need to be near
Yet my heart still holds back
Another wound is something it always fears
Another scar to join the others terrifies it
And so I rail at the idea of love
Yet still I believe you to be the one
For when we talk my hearts fear melts away
My minds workings grow quiet and calm
And total peace is mine
So please don't let me be wrong
Please don't let this just be another scar
Please tell me now before I give you my all
Do you really love me?
