You Don't Know How Much Pain You Caused

by Dana   Jan 15, 2009

You don't know how much pain you caused
When you broke my heart in two.
I'm falling into a world of despair,
and I'm crying out for you.
I never thought this day would come,
I never thought you'd say goodbye.
You lied when you said forever,
And now I want to die.
I don't think you understand
How hard it is to let you go,
But these scars on my heart
Are there to let you know.
I never thought you'd do this to me.
You said she was just a friend.
You said nothing would happen with you and her,
But that's not how the story would end.
I'm falling deeper into this world
Of hate, torture, and despair
Just because you promised
You would always be there.
You should've never made me that promise
When you knew it wasn't true.
I really believed it
Because I truly loved you,
And if you loved me back
You would still be here,
Not over there so far away
With many things to fear.
You said you were scared to lose me,
And I said you never would,
Because I loved you more than anything,
And you loved me more than anyone could.
But now you're gone,
And I don't know what to do.
Just always remember this:
I still love you.
