Legend's Lie

by Taylor   Jan 18, 2009

They say if you kneel by your bed
Clasp your hands together and pray
A light will shine above your head
The whispering sign for a better day
They tell you that if you sin
You will be punished for eternity
You'll play a game that you can't win
A lost burden to all society
They speak to you and say that if you believe
God will answer all your precious dreams
I did have faith until you let him leave
Now all I want to do is scream

There is no such thing as Heaven
There might as well be no Hell
Wishes won't come true at 11:11
Magic isn't real so there is no spell
I don't believe in God anymore
My faith and trust was lost in yesterday
All there now is just blood and gore
For once in my life I don't want to pray
When a life is stolen, you never get it back
I'm left here again to lay down and grieve
I'm on the verge of a heart attack
And for now and forever, I don't believe
