Saturday realities

by Ares   Jan 21, 2009

You cross your legs when you sit,
a touch of upper-class when you talk,
it's endearing to me..
but I can do without that,
the slight arrogance when you walk toward me,
and I'll admit that hurts a bit.

but when you're drunk,
I suddenly seem desirable to you,
and when you're drunk,
I suddenly seem like a person to talk to.

then Monday comes all too soon and you sigh,
the last thing you said was "I'll see you soon"
when really you meant "well, goodbye,
I'll never talk to you again"
your eyes were all sexy as they looked at the moon,
I noticed you wanted to cry.

but when you're drunk,
I suddenly seem desirable to you,
and when you're drunk,
I suddenly seem like a person to talk to.

expect me to call you again,
pray that tonight will not end.

yet you can't see past the best friend material,
which suddenly sounds an alarm.
