Remembering Joanie

by TONY ACE   Jan 22, 2009

I often think of those teenage years,
When we were in love and free,
When you won over my heart,
But alas twas not to be.

I remember 16 candles,
And that day you chose to part,
I miss you Little Lady,
Miss you,
with all my heart.

Was so sad for me, on the day we did part,
You walked away, and broke my fragile heart,
We stayed friends in the following years,
Now, all those memories bring on my tears.

I remember 16 candles,
And that day you chose to part,
I miss you Little Lady,
Forever,
In my heart.

Separated lives, i soon moved on,
Those early years all long gone,
But those memories still in my mind,
oh, Life can be so, unkind.!

I remember 16 candles,
And that day you chose to part,
I miss you Little Lady,
Its tearing,
At my heart.

The Angels came to fetch you,
Now i only have your stone,
Lay my flowers at your place of rest,
And stand there all alone.

I remember 16 candles,
And that day you chose to part,
I miss you Little Lady,
Your always in my heart.

I wish i could have told you,
How much you meant to me,
You were my first love,
Alas we weren't to be.

I remember 16 candles,
And that day you chose to part,
I miss you Little Lady,
That's twice,
you've broke my heart.
