Shinning Star

I stay awake every night
gazing into the star field sky
with each cold breath
brings another subtle sigh

Each night my heart saddens,
hopes begin to fade away
I can't find my shinning star
in this beautiful display

I know that my star
is shinning bright out there
I know it's not down here
because i have looked everywhere

I've seen my shinning star before
in so many different ways
No star could ever replace
my one and only beautiful Trace

My shinning star
completely lights up my life
who knows, maybe one day
she could be my wife.

*Trace is a nickname for a special girl
