Love on Pause

First Love
Innocent Love
Everlasting Love...
all put on pause

but it cannot be stopped
it will not be delayed
it wants to shine out
and be greatly displayed

It keeps me warm,
warmer than any coat
but this love remains humble,
it will not gloat

I just want a moment to remember
to help me hold on
to help me remember
how on my heart you have shone

It's all I can think of,
your lips upon mine
our own silent moment
our fingers intertwine

Then I will always remember
that feeling of bliss
so I will never regret
choosing to love you like this

    Really nice poem. Written in short but powerful sentences. Some sentences seem repeated and almost mean the same. The title is really nice and i think you stuck to it. Nice write.

    I like the idea that you have penned this down in a straight forward manner. You have painted beautifully of how a 1st love should be...Through out the poem I can feel how you felt abt this 1st love of yours. It's very sweet how you portray this. Well certainly it was a delightful to read. Keep it up
