Reality Beats It.

I heard her from a distance,
Her head was resting on the end of the bed.
She'd call my name & I'd walk closer to her,
The sound of her voice was soft against my ears,
My heart beating a mile a minute, I wanted to
make love to her right then.
Arms around her, I picked her up & held her tightly.
"I won't let you go" I whispered into her ear.
"And I want you forever" she told me back.

Her soft skin touched mine as her clothes fell.
As did mine.
I held her longer then I ever held anyone.
"if there were stars to look at,
none of them would sparkle like
the light within you" I told her as I kissed her lightly.
She blushed as I touched her & whispered how beautiful she was.

She told me she never had anyone love her so much,
Like I did.
Maybe we could live this dream on?
Perhaps this is just a dream.

The reality washes over my eyes,
And yes, too late.
The dream is gone...
One day this dream could become my reality.
