I WEAR A MASKby CY GINDLE

    I WEAR A MASK, i wear many
    masks. I wear these masks
not to fool the world but to fit
    in it

I wear my masks to hide
behind, To hide all my fear
    confusion and loneliness

I wear my mask for acceptance
    and for love

I wear my mask to converse
i lie while wearing my masks
i know no one would listen
    otherwise

My biggest fear is being expose
but such a exposure is my
    salvation my only salvation
its the only thing that can free
    me from myself
but i need your help, your hand
to hold. that look from you that
    tells me I'm not worthless
It won't be easy my defenses
are always up the more you
approach me the more I'll pull
    back

Its funny i fight against the very
    thing i cry out for

Makeup , the one thing in girls i never .liked !! and maybe i am someone with a brainac head but i was always able to see beyond it! .

never knew why would a girl hide her self , hide her true beauty behind a mask. but your poem say a lot !! but should men do it too?
unfair that girls can and men not !! maybe that how clowns are born!!?^_^
sometimes your makeup dont work , becasue i can tlel you , your eyes can tell a million story without your mouth move a lip .

but you need to have the person that have ears that can listen to them carfully and understand there saying . only then , your makeup will be usless. and your tears will finaly reach the ears and be understood !!

Just by the title i was intrigued !!

i like how you used each part of make up girls put on to reflect something inside and show what it is masking for you!
it is sad to really think about though i mean so many girls do this they mask their feelings and use make up to be someone they aren't ! so many people will relate you are good at relating with your writers i love it : )

Wow I like how you mix poetry and make up together. Well everyone of us has got a deep dark secret that we try to cover up. Some used make up some used fake smiles but at the end of the day we all know that it's all just a false pretense
