The Nature of Summer

by Luna Rose   Feb 6, 2009

The favorite months
Of kids alike
All over the world

End of year
Comes closer still
Papers become curled

The firey passion
Consumes all
On their final day

So long, it seems
Until next year
But summer has it's way

Time moves slowly
Just at first
And then things start to change

Summer flies
Days tick by
Vacation is out of range

And much too soon
Little time
Remains to be enjoyed

Summer's nature
Sour but sweet
With our minds it's toyed
