It was a simple day
A regular routine
You looked so scared
Or so it seemed

I didn’t know what to expect
Your eyes looked and then stared away
You sat close to me at my left
I could hear your heartbeat in your chest

We smiled and joked like we always do
Then our friends left
And it was just me and you

I stared at the sky
Fresh and breezy
I could feel you were uneasy

You said you needed to tell me something
And my heart took off
Beating thousands of beats
Faster than a car

You asked and I answered
My heart beat faster
You walked me to class
And we shared our first kiss
It was amazing since it was from your lips
