For Sonja (Part 51)

Stars only die at night, when people stop looking for them,
Roses only bloom, when attention and tender love fuel their roots.
Eternity is nothing more than an excuse for the existence of time,
It's like trying to live your life when nobodies watching.

Wind only survives by gliding through the leaves of trees,
Rain becomes nothing through the absence of the murmuring earth.
Passion for life is just another justification for this parody of life,
Like oceans struggling to compete with the depth of your eyes.

Maybe it's like fire endeavouring to feed on mountains of ash,
Or is it like water attempting to quench my thirst for your body?
The purpose of reflections to remind us of our bitter regrets,
Similar to your appearance, out-most superior to that of mine.

Or is this a false imaginary world Ive created within my mind,
Why push the pen to paper if it weren't to bear a mark?
Why taste the dew of morning when it disappears before the night,
What is my purpose of trying to conquer your beauty so bright.

Ive come here to watch the sun rise and leave again,
I can no longer wait for you my time is up.
I love you with every part of me and I hope it's not so long,
When I can join you and listen to our tallow songs.
Not of sorrow or love lost, but of rejoice and bliss
To realise and love me back once again amidst this chaos of reality.
