Something You Should Know

by Im Not Emo   Feb 26, 2009

He is ringing her doorbell, he came as fast as he could
She called with such worry, oh my this can't be good
Answering after one ring, he sees tears in her eyes
She then allows him in, while releasing her cries
To the couch she motions, "I have news for you"
"Is it good or bad?" But by her face he already knew
She paces back and forth, and then finally takes her seat
Her tears now overflowing, but their gazes then did meet
And in one breath she says, " I'm sorry but I'm pregnant"
His heart skipped a beat, but wait, this meant...
"I'm going to be a father?", his mind couldn't grasp it
But with this statement, she went into a crying fit
"Honey it's OK, I know we can make it through,
yeah it will be tough, but babe I love you"
She then grabs his hand, as if to never let go
"There is something else, that you need to know"
He felt he could handle this, for it was her he did adore
"I'm so so sorry, but honey? The baby isn't yours"
