My Heart

I've given my heart to so many people,
but they all have given it back,
broken.

My heart has been broken,
over and over again.

Is this just a sick joke,
my heart must have a mind of it's own,
and likes to see me suffer.

I've attached myself to so many people,
people who I thought I loved,
people who I have spent many a night up crying.

I refuse to shed one more tear for any of them,
for I want to fully give myself to my one true love,
whoever it may be.
