LOVE'S WAR

by krissypooh   Mar 6, 2009

Your words cut me deep
Your touch eases the pain
From my eyes, the tears seep
Like never-ending rain

Your bullets are love, affection, and care
Sometimes they penetrate the armor that I wear

My wounds are stress, distrust, and despair
They cover my body, yet nothing is there

What I see armors me
But I am hurt by what I hear
And when you touch caresses me
My wounds quickly disappear

My heart, bruised from battle; my body, weak and lame
The moral and lesson "Love is war, War is pain"
