They broke us apart.

Okay, this is a poem about something thats happened to me lately so please be kind with comments. Haven't written for a while.

We were always together, so hard to separate.
Like a man and his dog you were always my best mate.

Then time went on and the bond became stronger,
We tried to hold on but weeks became longer.

As time flew past, we began to grow away,
Knowing that i loved you, i couldn't let you stray.

So finding your number and making that first call,
Then being by your side, i knew i could stand tall.

Friendship ever lasting made something oh so true,
a love that once was ended had now to be renew.
