If Only

by MorganLeighhhh   Mar 19, 2009

If only you saw
The way she looks at you
Longing for your touch
Willing to sell her soul
For just five minutes of your time

If only you heard
The things she says
To all of her friends
Singing your praises
Never saying one bad word about you

If only you knew
The pain she goes through
Knowing that you don't see her
Knowing that you don't care about her at all
Hearing the cruel things you tell your friends
But giving you the benefit of the doubt
Never faltering from her love for you

You used to love her
She used to be your world
You would bring her roses
Even when there wasn't an occasion
You wrote her a lullaby
And sang it to her every night on the phone

You used to see her, hear her, know her
She loved you then
She loves you now
She will always love you.
