Ingrid I love what you have penned here... It's so true. we all have a choice...life is made up of the choices that we make...

For setbacks make us stronger.
^^^Well for ever setbacks we have, it makes us take a step back and see the bigger picture hence make us feel clear of the direction of our goal

Life is imperfect,
we it's architect.
^^^Yeah life is kindda like buildings.. evethough... it have been built years ago, over time it will be renovated and get revamped over and over again

You are absolutely right, everything you said, how we have choices, good and bad, and how we need to make ourselves happy to live life happily and to its fullest. This is such a delightful poem. It must have been difficult to avoid the rhyme detracting from the message but it flows beautifully, very well done.
