Song of the Frogs

by Alica   Apr 21, 2009

Above the sway of the river
Beneath the walls of the Abyss
Sat couples spellbound by the lure
Of an answer to whats amiss

Stonemen come moaning, shuffling
The North, South, East, West turned to stone
The pyramid lives by feeding
On the living; nothings left alone

Frogs of Amber hue are the key
Their song will break the reign of stone
But encrypted in melody
The formula remains unknown

The chorus begins all in one
At the sound of Fetizza’s loud croak
Distinct sections merge to be spun
A way to send back what awoke

*I got the idea from the book Threshold by Sara Douglass.*
