Old Bones

by Crimsonxheart   Apr 23, 2009

Emerging into the light of a new day
the children run out onto new concrete to play
Old Bones watches silently from the house across the street
waiting, quietly, the hunger is deep

The youth is wasted, on those who are young
Old Bones makes excuses, flapping its tongue
it's only one more, one more won't be missed
as the child is drawn closer and dreadfully kissed

Old Bones grins a grin, with a new child's face
tommorrow, he says, this time and place

(I got this idea from a nightmare I once had about an old person living across the street. He would come out and kill the children and take their face so that he could live longer... Creepy)

Wow... disturbing! I love it! Very interesting imagery you got there, twisted and sick. That poor child never knew what was coming to it. Kind of reminds me of that Monster House movie... idk. Love you!
