Seasons for love

by Jess   Apr 29, 2009

Shall you be compared, to a flowers bloom?
in the midst of springtime,
when the grass is green;
and leaves grow on thy trees?

What about in summer?
When thy sun shines so hot,
your eyes that twinkle;
beneath the moonlight after sun?

Can you see thy beauty?
your heart that glows,
in autums colored leaves;
wind blows your golden hair.

In winters whiteness,
you fall to thy ground;
an angel appears behind you,
but that is not news.

You are my angel in winter,
my butterfly in spring.
My heart in autum,
But in summer; your beauty blinded me.

    This poem has a sublime quality to it that reminds me of poetry of another century, with the personification of nature and the seasons. Keep it up! Really liked this.
