I hope you don't mind...

by Weeping Wolf   Apr 30, 2009

Leaping, bounding!
singing, howling,
Soar me above balconies!
Even rooftops and mountains aren't high enough!
I want to be at the highest peak
where not even air can fill the space
of Love in my lungs! As I shout
at the zenith, my proclamation
For you deserve nothing less!
Believe it! Believe me!

For even in the mundane reality
of parking lots and high school hallways
My feet no longer touch the pavement,
they dance on stars! Nay- dance with stars!
Nay! Dance with stars waiting to dance with you!
and every time your words tip-toe
on the parchment of my heart
The ink does not run or fade,
But tis a permanent, "ever-fixed mark"
That imprints into my treasure box memory...

Let us run and roll innocently along hills
and dance and twirl in caves of crystal
Let us sing and swoon in trees of green
and swim and spin in the deepest seas
Let us romp and play in luscious forests
and embrace in leaves, moonlight reflecting off fur..
Let me adorn you in shingles of pride
and let me drape upon you a cloak of courage
For, even if not to yourself, to me, you are cavalier!

So please excuse the over exaggerated phrases,
endless longings and dreamy aspirations,
but I'm in love.

Wow, you really are in love lol. I adore the phrases and enthusiasm that you put into this piece and how sincere you are, and the energy just flows through the entire poem from start to finish. I actually got a boost of energy myself lol; best of luck!

That was a wonderful write. Though love and sadness and other bleh subjects are so over-hashed and cliche, I enjoyed the creative way in which you described your love and how you feel. Definately a beautiful poem. I liked how it seemed to flow exceptionally well, even with the extensive lines and phrases. 5/5.
