Million Dollar Smile

by BreakMyWingsAndRun   May 5, 2009

She walks down the hall, the same places they used to meet. Remembering the days he was still hers. She bites her lip and tries to restrict a tear from rolling down her cheek. Her face burns from the memories she wishes so badly she could spend just one more second knowing he was hers. Walking down the hall she dodges people playing and having fun. She sees a couple holding hands and laughing. All she ever thinks about is the way their hands went together to fit perfectly. She misses him more than she ever thought she could. Oh no, there he comes, she sees his flawless walk coming right toward her. Hes smiling which automatically puts a smile on her face. She couldcouldn'tbelieve it, had he finally realized they were meant for each other and was coming to tell her he was sorry, that he really loves her and the past month without her has been horrible? Hes still coming smiling, not exactly looking at her but coming right toward her. Hes less than five feet away from her. Hes still smiling showing off that million dollar smile, shes still smiling at the idea of what she had coming. Hes there, but quickly glances at her and his smile fades away. She turns to see where he went. Sure that when she turns around shell find another girls hands intangled with his and their eyes lost so deep in one anothers. But when she turned around she was surprised to see no girl, but one of his friends. He was no longer smiling, so neither was she. For a quick second when they passed it felt like heaven to her because for one second they were side by side once again. But as he passes she prepares as her heart crumbles to the ground in utter silence. She walks in the class and sits; its just another regular day for her. Him and his friend watch the girl walk into her class. He says to his friend "shes smiling again, just like everyday. I guess shes happy now, but I just wish I could tell her how much I love her and miss her. I cant believe shes gone and its all my fault. How stupid could I be? Its too late now, shes happy now that shes moved on. I cant tell her now its too late, its just too late. So now he has no other choice but to wait everyday for that day when shes not smiling. He cant help but to smile when he sees her coming everyday with her one and only million dollar smile.
