Why ?

I know you have to leave
but i need you to know
that somewhere on the inside
i'll never let you go
these tears could come from anyone
but they could never be as real
nobody could ever know
how i truly feel
and i just feel like dying
cause i know you won't be here
losing you is all that i will ever fear
and when the time comes
to say goodbye
the only question that i'll ever have
is why ?

    I especially liked the beginning of this poem: the ryming couplets at the start:
    "I know you have to leave
    but i need you to know
    that somewhere on the inside
    i'll never let you go"
    I can relate to this bit, and could feel the sadness in reading it! well done
