Night of Silence

by Daniel Milano   May 11, 2009

Gliding over a sleeping Ocean,
The night is calm and crisp,
I can taste the salty mist,
Sting upon my lips.

The moon hangs in the sky,
Reflecting like foil,
Casting a dim glow,
On an Ocean darker than oil.

It's been two days without food or drink,
Day break is getting near,
At this rate, I won't make it home,
I fear.
