Once upon a time...I love you

Once upon a time I was granted the ability to love,
yet my love was misplaced and misused.
My heart was mistreated and abused,
while i gave everything i could.
Everything that she could have desired,
and anything that she admired could have and would have been hers.
Broken and worn, used and torn,
She faded away, and left my heart jaded.

Once upon a time in a land far away,
there lies a girl whom I love today.
No longer I feel that I cant be me,
for you are my love who accepts me.
Never again will I feel less,
With you in my life i can only be blessed.
So god gives me this day to start anew,
to learn how to care, and love only you.

Once upon a time I met a girl; she was you.
No longer a fairy tale, I love you.

    This was my favorite part in the poem, the words flowed together really well. =]

    This part is really good; it shows the rebirth of love. It shows that there is always someone out there, you just need to keep breathing, the world has not come to an end. It shows a reason to hope.
