Desolate Road/Broken Relationship

by Jared   May 20, 2009

You know that small, desolate road?
Yes, the one we walked down.
The one I held you on.
The one I can no longer go.
For that road, my guitar sounds.
For you, I long.
You know that sweet, unique smell?
Yes, the one you left on me.
The one I miss.
I would search through hell
To have that smell, left on me.
The smell of bliss.
You know that beautiful soul?
Yes, the one you confront every day.
The one I held.
The soul of his, I now gloat.
The soul I once had on display.
Perfection led.
You know that small, desolate road?
It didn't last very long.
You said goodbye.
We walked on streets of gold.
But now you are gone..
You said goodbye...
