The Song Of Valentine's Day

by xToBeWithYoux   Jun 13, 2009

In the silence, they can hear
the cherubs calling their names,
their melodies ringing
in the walls of a lover's paradise.

Silk sheets envelop
the festivity of the day,
radiating warmth from
tranquil partners.

Panoramic views
of the capital of romance
beckon weary eyes
from the bed to the balcony.

A frail, scarlet petal
loses its precious grip,
after the rose shivered
in the icy February breeze.

Gifts and delicate ribbons
litter the edge of the artists' canvas.
Their were contents chased down
with France's finest champagne.

The stars throw light
onto the joyous world,
as it celebrates, parties,
weeps, reminisces.

The cherubs' harmony
echoes throughout the sleeping city.
Entwined hearts have exclusive company
of the song of Valentine's Day.
