We were each others everything

by lifestory   Jun 18, 2009

I walk by and i can feel your hatred
radiating off every inch of your body
every muscle gets tense and you clench your fists
while i pass by with beauty and bliss

you look away to pretend to not see me
hold in your breath to not smell my perfume
droplets of sweat rolling down your forehead and brow
wishing i would love you again somehow

now youre trying to hold steady and stop your shaking hands
the cigarette your holding is burning to its end
you're anxious to leave 'cause your tired of this game
the worst parts i still love you but it'll never be the same.
