The Girl In My Life

by Matt   Jun 27, 2009

There's a girl in my life,
She's an amazing friend,
The one thing that scares me,
Is bringing our friendship to an end.
I adore her so much,
And i've no doubt she feels the same,
Trouble is i long for more,
And feel it's all in vain.
I need to tell her how i feel,
But am terrified of what she'll say,
I can't lose the friendship we have,
Or let it fade away.
I'm damned if i do,
Damned if i don't,
We've a fantastic connection,
Jeopardise this i won't.
I want her to be happy,
I want her to meet the one,
How can we not be together,
When we have so much fun.
There is no other like her,
No one comes near,
She's perfect in every way,
Hence the reason for this fear.
What do i have to do,
To be able to make her see,
The reason we get on so well,
Must be coz we're meant to be.
She says we compliment each other,
We're practically best mates,
How do i tell her the truth,
At the risk of closing the gates.
