Feelings Grow

Why do feelings grow,
For someone we hardly know,
What is it inside,
That fills us with joy and pride?
We just want to know more,
Finding out if that person is pure.
Seeing if they are all we want,
Without putting on a front.
Some of the things they say,
Make everything seem ok.
How can one be so special,
In such a different way?
Do we let our feelings take over,
Or have we found that four leaf clover?
One day it will all be clear,
And we'll no longer have this fear.
