The Ending

by malina   Jul 8, 2009

I've let myself become weak again
Your relentless anger that you throw at me
Tears are no way to ease you
But I replay the words of " We Can Be"

Maybe we've gotten carried away
And let the steering wheel steer itself
While we ourselves drifted away from the safety lines
But I'm stuck inside this never-ending world of mines

The laughter that stained my brain
With the pain that spilt like blood
Covering our useless smiles
I would cure everything, if I could

I've somehow drowned you out
Eyes wandering and darting away from yours
Feeling like my heart snuck out of me
My fingers dropping farther away as you reach for the door

Was I not meant to be here?
Because it seems like you want to take me down
Nothing seems alright no more
And everything is spinning around and round

We've made it till here
The beginning of the ending
We finally succeeded in walking down our own paths
And we have to throw everything away, pieces we finally had given up on mending
